Considered as one of the finest art museums in the USA, “Taft Museum of Art” stands as a National Historic Landmark of the country. The museum house was built in 1820 locating in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the residence of Charles Phelps Taft who was a half-brother of President William Howard Taft. After being home for Tafts from 1873 to 1929 it changed into the museum.
The museum now houses about 700 arts comprised of Chinese porcelain, American masterpieces and European old and decorative paintings. It displays a wide range of paintings that represent the era from even middle Ages to 19th and 20th centuries with a variety of paintings and murals of great artists such as Thomas Gainsborough, Jean Auguste, Frans Hals and many more.
